Three branches welcome new managers

New Branch Managers are at the helm of three First National Bank Alaska branches after the banks Board of Directors announced recent promotions and appointments.

Syl Fowlis was appointed Branch Manager at the Federal Branch in downtown Anchorage. Originally from Gambia, Fowlis has worked in banking for more than a decade with roles as a Teller, Personal Banker, Business Development Officer and Branch Manager.

The Federal Branch is unique because of its location and connection to many employees from federal agencies, Fowlis said. Our bank creates lasting relationships with those customers and I look forward to doing so with many more.

Bill Kaltschnee is the Branch Manager at the South Center Branch in midtown Anchorage. Hes spent more than 19 years working in Anchorages financial industry, including the last three at First National. He said First Nationals local decision making makes all the difference.

When a customer has a financial need, I know we can get the answers for them right here, right now, Kaltschnee said. Were going to do whats best for the customer.

Karlyn Moyer is the Branch Manager at the Muldoon Branch in East Anchorage. An Air Force veteran, Moyer previously held the same position at the Federal Branch and first joined First National in 1997.

Ive met and worked with many outstanding people along the way, Moyer said. Our bank has a strong history of helping our neighbors in communities throughout Alaska.

Alaskan-owned and operated since 1922, First National proudly meets the financial needs of Alaskans with ATMs and 30 branches in 18 communities throughout the state.
