New Fairbanks Branch Under Construction

First National Bank Alaskas third Fairbanks branch is scheduled for completion in December 2004. The $3 million branch will give customers in the Fairbanks area greater access to the wide range of banking services and local banking experts offered by the largest locally owned bank in Alaska.

This expansion is necessary for us to continue to meet the needs of Alaskans in the Interior, said Senior Vice President William Renfrew. Enhanced customer service at the new branch will include commercial, construction, mortgage and consumer loans; a drive-up 24-hour ATM; three drive-up teller windows; an updated walk-up ATM machine and; a night drop deposit box.

The new branch design includes a conference room that can be used after bank hours for meetings by non-profit community groups.

The 11,500 sq. ft. branch is adjacent to the citys busy Johansen Boulevard. Prime contractor on the project is Watterson Construction. CB Bettisworth of Fairbanks designed the building.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest locally owned and operated bank, with 27 other branches throughout the state and ATMS in 17 rural communities.
