First National announces personnel moves

Showcasing its commitment to hiring Alaskas brightest and the career advancement of its banking experts, First National Bank Alaska and its Board of Directors recently announced a variety of promotions and appointments.

The bank named longtime First National banker and Vice President Karl Heinz the Regional Branch Manager in charge of the Glennallen, Kenai, Kodiak and Valdez branches. Heinz previously managed branches in Glennallen, Haines and Eagle River after completing the bank's Management Associate program more than 12 years ago.

"My experience throughout the bank, combined with knowledge of Alaska's business challenges, has prepared me for this opportunity, said Heinz, who will work out of the Kenai Branch. Im motivated to help fellow Alaskans meet their banking needs.

First National hired Loan Officer Jason Feeken and appointed him Assistant Vice President. He'll work out of Anchorage's Corporate Headquarters and owns more than 10 years working in Alaskas financial industry.

"Focusing on our customers and understanding their financial needs is a real key to their success," Feeken said, "and one I look forward to continuing with First National."

Jennifer Matthews moved from the Wasilla Branch after being promoted to Cash Management Services Specialist in Anchorage. She will work with customers to formulate the best solutions to meet their business banking needs.

The key component for my customers is my understanding of their business inside and out, Matthews said. No one will try to work harder than I will in getting our customers what they need to succeed.

Moving from Deposit Services, Diane McKee is the new Parkway Branch Manager after the board promoted her to take charge of the East Anchorage branch. McKee has worked in banking for more than 17 years, including the last five in Deposit Services.

Parkway has a long tradition as a friendly, welcoming part of the neighborhood, McKee said. With our dedicated branch staff in place, I look forward to providing our customers even more convenience, service and value.
