Career advancements continue at First National

Showcasing its commitment to smart hiring and career advancement of its banking experts, First National Bank Alaska and its Board of Directors recently announced a wealth of promotions and appointments.

Secondary Mortgage Market Officer Tina Lynch was appointed Assistant Vice President. Originally from Kansas, Lynch has spent more than 15 years learning the ins and outs of the financial industry. One of her many responsibilities includes working closely with secondary market investors and housing issue groups.

Ill strive to add value to the bank and its customers each and every day, Lynch said.

Kippy Mena was promoted to Branch Manager and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the new U-Med Branch when it opens in January near the University of Alaska Anchorage. She has worked for the bank for 23 years, including 20 years in Kenai. Shes also worked in Bethel and most recently at the South Center Branch in midtown Anchorage.

When it opens, the U-Med Branch will be the 31st branch available to our customers, Mena said. Well look to provide local service and expertise to customers from UAA and the many nearby medical facilities.

Assistant Vice President Vicki Myers was promoted to Anchorage Branch Administrator and will work closely with the teams at branches in the states largest city. With a bank management background of more than 13 years and customer service experience that goes back more than 25 years, Myers joined First National in 2012.

With 10 branches in the greater Anchorage area, were serving a large number of customers with our banking expertise, Myers said. Ill do everything I can do to make sure each branch provides each customer with the best experiences on every visit.

Moving from Fairbanks Johansen Branch to the Interior City Branch, Jutta Pence was promoted to Branch Manager. Employed at First National for 10 years, shell make sure customers receive the highest level of service every time they visit the branch. She also recently was named the Greater Fairbanks Area Habitat for Humanity Director of Distinction award winner.

Ive been around Fairbanks for quite a while and our community is very important to me, Pence said. Im also honored to work with a great crew at Interior City.

Meanwhile, at the Johansen Branch, Mary Roser was promoted to Operations Supervisor. Shes been at First National for almost a decade.

I look forward to the banks continued growth and to helping our new and existing customers meet their financial goals, Roser said.

Assistant Vice President Jennifer Snodgrass recently joined First National as Consumer Underwriting Manager. She supervises the review and underwriting decision process made on consumer loans, consumer real estate loans, Automated Clearing House (ACH) and business and corporate credit cards based on credit policy. She also first worked at the bank during the summers of high school and college.

I excel in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our customers, so they will continue to come back and bank with us, Snodgrass said.

After working in Cash Management as a Business Development Officer, Loan Officer Matt Thon is headed back to the Dimond Branch where he first started as a Personal Banker in 2012. Hell continue to work in corporate lending with customers to formulate the best solutions to meet their business banking needs.
