Bank Receives 61st Straight Five-Star Rating

Bauer Financial Reports Inc., Americas leading bank analyst, recently recognized First National as an Exceptional Performance Bank, a distinction reserved for banks that have earned a five-star rating for at least 10 years.

First National Bank Alaska has now received the five-star rating, denoting the highest level of fiscal strength and performance, for 61 consecutive quarters, the longest such streak of any Alaska bank.

Earning a five-star rating is, in itself, an outstanding achievementevidence of consistently sound management, financial strength and performance, said Karen L. Dorway, president of the research firm.

Earning five stars 61 consecutive times is truly remarkable. Only 5.4 percent of the nations banks have achieved that feat.

Established in 1922, First National is Alaskas largest locally-owned and operated bank, with ATMs and 27 branches throughout Alaska.
