For the third year in a row, Anchorage Daily News readers voted First National Bank Alaska as one of the state’s top three financial institutions in the annual Best of Alaska survey. This year, the bank took the Silver, or third place award, in the Bank/Financial Institution category. First National was the only Alaskan-owned and -operated community bank named in the category.
“As we near the end of our 100th year in business, First National is reflecting on our past and looking towards the future,” said Board Chair and CEO Betsy Lawer. “Since 1922, our priority has been to provide essential financial services and support to the communities we serve. That will remain our focus for the next 100 years and beyond.
“We are so grateful to our fellow Alaskans who voted First National one of the best financial institutions in the state. We couldn’t have reached 100 years without you. Thank you.”
Alaska’s community bank since 1922, First National proudly helps Alaskans shape a brighter tomorrow by providing banking services to meet their needs across the state, nation and around the world. In 2021, Alaska Business readers voted the bank the “Best of Alaska Business” in the Best Place to Work category for the sixth year in a row, Best Corporate Citizen for a third year, and Best Bank/Credit Union. American Banker also recognized First National as a “Best Bank to Work For” for the fourth year in a row.
