First National Bank Alaska’s Board of Directors recently appointed two local banking experts to new roles, further strengthening one of the “Best Banks to Work For,” as recognized by American Banker.
With more than 30 years of programming and software development experience, Dan Carlson was promoted to Core Technology Manager. In his new role, Carlson will manage and provide strategic oversight for the bank’s mainframe and core processing systems, and direct the development, maintenance and operations of all core systems. “There are so many ways to use technology to enhance our banking experience,” Carlson said. “I look forward to helping First National innovate and meet our customers’ evolving online and mobile banking needs.”
The Wasilla Branch welcomed Mortgage Originator Barb Worley. Worley comes to First National with over two decades of mortgage lending experience, including loan counseling, loan origination, and managing loan portfolios. She is chairperson of the NeighborWorks America National Homeownership Advisory Committee, and a member of the Anchorage Financial Partnership. “The home loan process is different for everyone,” Worley said. “That’s why I help our customers find the perfect financial solution to fit their needs.”
